#15 – Building a Strong Online Presence

📳💻🖱

Since it’s such a passion of mine, we talk a lot about digital marketing. Today I thought instead of being specific about *one* type of digital marketing, I’d write a summary of the best parts of it to invest time into in to help build a robust business presence.

Here are ten essential tips to help you establish and grow your online footprint across various channels:

1️⃣  Define Your Keyword Lists:

Start by creating a core list of main keywords and other specific lists for different areas of focus. This will guide your content creation, SEO strategy and PPC campaigns.

2️ Develop Engaging Website Content:

Write content that is useful and interesting to your audience. Use keywords effectively and ensure your pages and / or posts are of a good length to improve SEO. High-quality content can also drive engagement on social media and email marketing.

3️ Optimise Your Website:

Ensure your website is user-friendly, mobile-responsive and fast. This includes optimising page layouts, understanding the user journey and writing effective title tags, as well as ensuring a seamless user experience.

4️ Leverage Social Media:

Social media platforms are powerful tools for driving traffic and engagement. Regularly share your content, interact with your audience and use social media advertising to reach a broader audience.

5️ Email Marketing:

Building an email subscriber list is a great way to maintain engagement with your audience. Offer valuable content and incentives to capture email addresses and keep your subscribers informed with regular updates.

6️ Invest in PPC Advertising:

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising can drive targeted traffic to your website quickly. Run targeted ads to reach your audience with precision and jump ahead of your competition.

7️ Utilise Analytics:

Regularly monitor your online presence and performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights and email marketing reports. Adjust your strategies based on data and feedback.

8️ Engage in Public Relations:

Getting your brand name out there and capturing the attention of the press can significantly boost your online presence and drive online visitors. Build relationships with journalists and create compelling press releases.

9️ Consistent Branding:

Maintain consistent branding across all online platforms. This includes your website, social media profiles and email marketing. Consistency helps build trust and recognition.

🔟 Plan a Content Calendar:

Being organised is crucial, especially when you’re managing multiple marketing channels. Plan your content in advance with a content calendar to ensure regular and timely updates across your blog, social media and email campaigns.

Building a strong online presence takes time and effort, but with these tips, you’ll be well on your way to creating a lasting impact!
