#35 – Mastering Multichannel Marketing

Nov 13, 2024Nov 13, 2024 Judi-mae Alderton - Mae Day Marketing

🔄🎯💪🏻

Welcome to this week’s #WisdomWednesday, all about Multichannel Marketing – a key approach to connect with your audience by integrating both your online and offline marketing strategies for maximum reach and engagement.

Here are some key tips for a well-rounded multichannel marketing approach:

1️⃣ Know Your Audience: Research your target demographics, so you understand which channels they prefer and engage with. (I know! I say it all the time – but you really have to know your target audience to hit your objectives!)

2️⃣ Align Your Messaging: Ensure your brand message is consistent across all channels – online and offline.

3️⃣ Use Social Media for Amplification: Integrate social media campaigns to support offline activities like events or direct mail offers. Let them follow each other for maximum impact.

4️⃣ Personalised Direct Mail: Combine the personal touch of direct mail with digital by including QR codes or links to special online content.

5️⃣ Leverage Email Marketing: Email campaigns can drive customers to in-location events, new products, or exclusive offers.

6️⃣ Retarget Offline Conversions Online: For example, use in-location sign-ups to target customers with online ads or loyalty emails later.

7️⃣ Event Marketing & Social Sharing: If you’re hosting a physical event, encourage attendees to share their experiences online afterwards. You can even then follow this up with social media sharing of that content.

8️⃣ Consistency in Branding: Whether a customer sees your ad in a magazine, on Facebook, or at a local event, your brand’s look and feel should be unmistakable.

9️⃣ Track & Analyse Across Channels: Set up ways to measure the success of both online and offline strategies so you can refine and improve your approach.

🔟 Customer Service Continuity: If your audience reaches out online after an offline experience (or vice versa), offer seamless support to enhance loyalty.

A thoughtful multichannel strategy not only reaches customers where they are but also reinforces your brand, encouraging loyalty and boosting conversions.

As always – welcome to this week’s Wisdom Wednesday post! 👋🏻 Today, I’m sharing the essential steps I would recommend you take in order to create a strong launch plan for a new business! These should help anybody looking to make a significant impact from day one 📣📣📣

1️⃣ Define Your Business Goals & Audience – Begin by clarifying your objectives. What do you want to achieve with your launch? Understanding your target audience – who they are and what they need – will help tailor your messaging effectively.

2️⃣ Clarify Your New Brand Identity – Your brand’s identity is crucial. Ensure your visuals, tone and values are designed to resonate with your target audience. A strong, cohesive brand will make a memorable first impression.

3️⃣ Create Key Messaging – Establish your brand’s story. What sets you apart? Identify core messaging pillars that communicate your unique value proposition and align with your audience’s needs.

4️⃣ Build a Website – Your website is often the first interaction customers have with your business. Make it user-friendly, informative and optimised for search engines to attract organic traffic.

5️⃣ Create Social Media Profiles – Choose platforms where your target audience is most active. Create profiles that reflect your brand’s identity and plan to start engaging with potential customers on a regular basis.

6️⃣ Content Plan – Schedule pre-launch teasers and launch-day posts. A well-planned content calendar keeps your audience engaged and excited about your business.

7️⃣ Prepare Email Announcements – Put together an exciting email sequence to inform your subscribers about your launch. This is a great opportunity to build anticipation and encourage early engagement.

8️⃣ PR & Outreach – Reach out to local press, influencers and industry publications. Getting featured can significantly boost your visibility.

9️⃣ Schedule a Photoshoot – High-quality visuals are vital for marketing. Capture your products, space or team in a multitude of ways, giving yourself a library of images to use across all platforms.

🔟 Measure & Refine – After the launch, track engagement, reach and feedback. Use these insights to adjust your strategies for ongoing success.

If you follow these steps, you’ll have a roadmap for a dynamic, attention-grabbing launch!

#32 – Video Marketing Strategies

Oct 23, 2024 Judi-mae Alderton - Mae Day Marketing

📹▶🎬

Welcome to this week’s Wisdom Wednesday! This time, I’ll be looking at how to create engaging video content, from choosing the right tools to ensuring high-quality production.

Here are some best practices for creating videos:

1️⃣ Use what you have – Your smartphone can shoot great videos! Modern phones have impressive cameras, making them perfect for recording without the need for expensive equipment.

2️⃣ Lighting matters – Natural light works wonders, but if you’re indoors, use soft, diffused lighting to avoid harsh shadows and ensure a flattering image.

3️⃣ Stabilise your camera – Use a tripod or stabiliser to keep your footage steady. Shaky videos can distract viewers and reduce quality.

4️⃣ Sound quality – Invest in a simple external microphone. Good audio is crucial, as poor sound can cause people to stop watching, even if the visuals are great.

5️⃣ Frame your shots – Ensure proper framing. Keep the focus on the subject and use the rule of thirds to create balanced, visually appealing compositions.

6️⃣ Edit with ease – Use simple editing tools like iMovie, Adobe Premiere Rush or even smartphone apps to polish your video with cuts, effects and transitions.

7️⃣ Keep it concise – Viewers prefer short, punchy videos. Aim to keep your content under 2 minutes unless you’re telling a longer story. Grab attention early too – Capture interest in the first 3-5 seconds.

8️⃣ Use captions – Many people watch videos on mute, so add captions to make your content accessible to all viewers.

9️⃣ Test and tweak – Experiment with different video styles and angles. Gather feedback and refine your approach to improve with each video.

🔟 Upload in the right format – Ensure your video is optimised for the platform you’re using, whether it’s YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook. Each has different size and quality requirements.

Creating high-quality videos doesn’t require expensive equipment – just some creativity and attention to detail.

#31 – Maintaining Brand Consistency

Oct 16, 2024 Judi-mae Alderton - Mae Day Marketing

✅💬⚖

Welcome to this week’s post, where – since we’ve been talking a lot about branding this week – I’m covering a vital aspect of marketing: Maintaining Brand Consistency! 👌🏻

Ensuring uniform messaging across all platforms is key to building brand recognition, trust and loyalty. A consistent brand tells your audience who you are, no matter where they engage with you, so they build up an emotional relationship with you over time, inspiring this loyalty.

In turn, trust and loyalty will mean not only repeat custom, but create brand champions for you too: people that are happy to recommend you to others. It’s a circle of respect for your brand you will want to build!

Here’s how to achieve it:

1️⃣ Create Clear Brand Guidelines – Establish rules for your brand’s tone, style, logo use, fonts and colour palette. Use this whenever you create content and share this with anyone creating content for your business too. It will enable you to represent your identity in line with your brand values every single time.

2️⃣ Develop a Unified Voice – Whether it’s a tweet or an email, your brand voice should sound the same everywhere, characterising your business. Customers should recognise your personality in every piece of content.

3️⃣ Ensure Visual Uniformity – Consistent logos, fonts and colours across all channels make your brand instantly recognisable, reinforcing your message and making an impression that sticks.

4️⃣ Be Consistent in Messaging – Your values, key messages and brand mission should remain the same across platforms, whether it’s your website, social media, or in adverts. Every touchpoint needs to align with the core of who you are as a brand.

5️⃣ Monitor Your Content Regularly – Frequently audit your online and offline communications to ensure they align with your brand guidelines. This helps catch any inconsistencies that may arise as your business grows. If you start a new communications strategy, make sure you have your brand guidelines in mind when planning its execution.

Maintaining brand consistency ensures that your customers always know what to expect, and that’s what builds trust!
